Leah was the first wife of Biblical patriarch Jacob. Jacob was tricked into marrying Leah before the woman he really wanted—her sister Rachel. Leah is often described as having “weak” or “soft” eyes and being unattractive. Nevertheless, Leah bore Jacob nine sons, hoping with each birth that her husband would love her.
This book is a tribute to Leah.
